Super Lawyers, a registered trademark of Thomson Reuters, publishes a list of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. No more than 2.5% of attorneys from each state earn this distinction.
Super Lawyers employs a stringent selection strategy, including peer nominations, third-party research, panel reviews, and a final selection process. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The resulting selections create a comprehensive and reputable list of top-tier lawyers from across the nation. In order to qualify for the Rising Stars list, nominees must be no more than 40 years old and have practiced law for 10 years or less. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.
