Judge Slams State Farm in Florida PIP Payment Dispute
Co-Managing Partner Jason Goldman successfully led his client, Complete Care Centers, to a significant court victory in litigation against State Farm, as featured in the Daily Business Review. As lead counsel, Jason helped secure the ruling requiring State Farm to resume processing personal injury protection (PIP) claims.
The court found State Farm’s refusal to pay several million dollars in PIP claims was improper, reinforcing that insurers cannot unilaterally decide which health care providers are eligible for PIP payments.
Jason spent nearly seven years developing the legal theory and strategy that led to this outcome, authoring the prevailing motion in its entirety and arguing before the court. His leadership as lead counsel was critical in securing this landmark decision, which ensures patients’ access to care and fair treatment of providers under the law.
