Davis Goldman attorney Michael Bild recently spoke to Q105’s the Current with Roxanne Wilder about a parasailing accident in the Florida Keys that occurred over Memorial Day weekend. On the radio show, Michael discussed what people, especially tourists visiting Florida, should know to prevent accidents and the steps they should take if something happens.
“I would say 99 percent of the people don’t read the fine print,” Bild said. “One hundred percent of the time you engage in any of these activities, you will be asked to sign a waiver. Most people blindly sign it and it never becomes an issue until something happens. My advice would be just to take a photo of the waiver. It’s something simple and something you can do pretty quickly and if there ever is an issue at least you have a copy of the waiver with you.”
