Tesla fights two court battles over claims it misled consumers about automated driving
In an article by The Washington Post, Co-Managing Partner Aaron Davis shared his insights on the ongoing court battle over Tesla’s Autopilot and Full-Self Driving features. With California’s DMV pushing to ban Tesla from selling cars over misleading claims, Aaron highlighted the confusion that Tesla’s marketing may create for consumers.
He emphasized that when it comes to life and safety on the road, ambiguity in product branding is unacceptable. As Tesla fights to defend its claims of near-full autonomy, Aaron reminds us of the responsibility companies have to ensure their technology is as close to perfect as possible before releasing it to the public.
“The phrase ‘self-driving’ creates confusion and misinterpretation among consumers, many of whom don’t fully understand this technology or how to use it,” said Aaron.
